Yorkshire Pudding is a baked pudding made from a batter of eggs, flour, and milk or water. A common British side dish, served with roast beef and topped with gravy.
Ingredients
The ingredients for Yorkshire Pudding are simple and generally already in your fridge and pantry. They include eggs, flour, salt, milk and oil.
My Mother often made Yorkshire Pudding with a Sunday roast and I fell in love with them at a very young age.
How To Make Yorkshire Pudding
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Whip eggs until frothy, add milk and continue to whip until well combined. Add flour and salt and whip until well blended.
Pour oil into each muffin tin to cover the bottom.
Place muffin tin in oven approximately 5 minutes until oil is hot. Pour batter into preheated muffin tins approximately half full.
Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until muffins have risen out of tin and are golden brown.
Making Ahead
You can prepare the Yorkshire Pudding batter earlier in the day and refridgerate until ready to cook. Remove from fridge and whip batter prior to pouring into the preheated muffin tins for baking.
Bake as instructions above.
Leftovers
To reheat leftover Yorkshire Pudding, place individually on a baking sheet and reheat in a 350 degree oven for 5 – 10 minutes, keeping an eye to ensure they are not overcooked.
